Lisa Lee
Business: The LEAP (Learning Enhancement And Processing Center)
3480 Catalina Drive
Cumming, GA 30041
770-781-4864

Background: I have been teaching special education classes for 2.5 years working with intellectually disabled students, students with ADD, learning disabilities, and emotional and behavior disorders. I was really discouraged to see that as a teacher in the school system, I was not making a huge difference in increasing skills for my students due to lack of one-on-one time to work on deficient cognitive areas. Through PACE, I have seen major difference in my students learning because I am able to work on the underlying problems. I currently have 6 trainers, which cover Forsyth and Cherokee counties. I have been a provider for one year and this is the growth that I have experienced already! This is without very much advertising, only word of mouth and the national referral website. This 2001-2002 school year will be my last year as a special ed teacher and I am going to provide PACE services full time. When parents and teacher see the differences in their child and get excited about it, word spreads. It is so exciting to see the changes in my students and their excitement as well as the parents.
